Flying into DC from Seattle, we are hosted by the local community and play against the top DC open team of the day, E-Pig. We win 17-12. Also on here is the 2nd half of our game against Boston's Death or Glory. See write-up below by Piers Truter.

"We were due to play the New York team, but a decision was made to cancel that game to try to protect the team from injuries, as there are many players with small and large niggles. This gave us an extra rest day before traveling to Boston to play DoG. The field that was booked for us in Boston had poor grass cover and we ended up switching fields twice (moved on by the cops the first time) and ended up playing on a sweet field a few blocks (and a new police jurisdiction) away.
After warming up and about to play, with a crowd on the sidelines, some cops turned up and told us the field was being re-seeded and we couldn't play. So it was off to another field. The crowd came with us so there was this huge convoy of cars heading across the city, except the local guy who was leading took a wrong turn and had to double-back- with the whole convoy following like it was a game of snake. Anyway, the next field was probably the best we've played on and the game started after a short delay due to one of our vans getting lost in the convoy.
We started hot and went up 4-0, with the disc for 5-0 but a drop in the endzone changed the momentum, and DOG bit back hard, taking half 9-8. The 2nd half saw DOG get to 14-11, so we switched D's and went with a short clam-transition and resulted in turnovers and a little run of our own.
DOG held on and broke us again and had game point at 16-14. We scored, but they had the disc this time to win at 16-15. Gack got a layout block in the endzone to stop the score. We marched it down and scored to tie. Then we traded until 17-17. Our D got a turnover and pottsy threw a goal to Tom for 18-17. They scored next, 18 all. We then scored a clean offence point with gack bobbling the disc in the endzone and pete, like a good rover, catching the disc. Dingoes win the game 19-18 and the celebrations begin.
This was a real team effort with Tom Rogacki and John Holmes getting two blocks and Roger Bralow, Matt Dowle, Ken Shepherd, Tim Booth and Lachlan Yates chipping in with one each. Dave O'Brien was nominated MVP by DoG for his almost flawless handling, throwing 44 passes including 3 goals. Pete Gardner was a stand out on the O team scoring 6 goals. The Boston boys put on a BBQ and two kegs in the afternoon. Unfortunately, the kegs were demolished in a little over an hour. Some tried to kick on at a local bar but being a Sunday night it closed at 1am so the celebrations didn't go into the night."
