LADY BIRD Ending Monologue

Описание: Hello again, my friends!! Although on your end it appears that I've taken another two-week break, I've actually been filming (and most importantly REFILMING) a bunch of pieces for you all! I actually filmed this piece the first time about a week ago and I just wasn't satisfied with the final result. I actually filmed 3 different monologues that night and honestly just wasn't feeling any of them. As frustrating as it is to scrap your work and start over, I knew I needed to wait until the character embedded itself within me so the emotion could come out authentically. I tried it again this week and was far more pleased with the result. Sometimes, you just have to let a piece marinate for a little longer in order to squeeze out our best performance!

In this scene, Christine (Lady Bird) calls her parents after leaving for college to tell her mom some things she's wanted to say for a very long time. I've had this scene bookmarked for a while as I'm a big fan of the movie and its lead actress, Saoirse Ronan. This monologue is the culmination of all the complex emotions that Christine has felt and bottled u for the film's duration. It's cathartic and real and that's why I love it.

This movie was all the rage when it came out and was and an Oscars delight so I'm sure you've seen it but if you haven't, please do! I believe it's on Netflix!
