KALBI | grilled Korean beef short ribs, Hawaii-style! 🤙🏼🌺

Описание: As a born-and-raised Midwesterner, there are few things I love more than a backyard BBQ in the summer...BUT as a born-and-raised Midwesterner with a Hawaiian mom, I'm guessing that grill outs at my house look a little different than yours since they include a few of our local Hawaii favorites, too.

It's always a really special treat when my mom preps kalbi, the iconic grilled Korean beef short ribs that are perfectly savory-sweet with rich umami flavor. They're so delicious & honestly so easy to make at home!

The heart of this recipe is a kalbi marinade, which comes to us from my maternal Grandma Marian. Its sweetness a little more Hawaii-style than traditionally Korean, but it gives the short ribs so much bold flavor thanks to punchy aromatics like onion, garlic, ginger, & sesame oil.

At dinnertime, simply light up the grill (or broiler!), cook for a few minutes per side, & serve alongside  your favorite banchan or a couple scoops of rice & mac salad for the perfect quick & easy meal! ♡ Happy grilling!
