My third flight was only 30minutes long, but wanted to take advantage of having a little crosswind because the previous time the winds were dead calm. On this beautiful summer morning we had about a 20 degree crosswind, which isn't much but gave me some of the basics to learning how to taxi, takeoff, and land in windy conditions.
Of course, we ended our flight wit an unexpected simulated engine failure we I landed it with no power. Good practice, of which will be getting many many more hours of simulated emergencies.
After having a couple hours of experience in this 1959 Cessna Skyhawk I have concluded that my level of expertise is minimal compared to flying helicopters, but that is the point of learning something new. To continue to grow in new areas.
