A half-hour look at OSFirstTimer NZ.

Описание: Hey guys. Continuing my little OSFirstTimer shenanigans, I decided to have a look at his apparent cheapo Walmart counterpart, OSFirstTimer NZ. I got this idea while recording a different video that I decided to scrap. OSFT NZ gets a lot of hate for lazily copying the original OSFirstTimer, and the first half of this video shows why.

The second half of this video however shows why I think this is sad, as I explain my opinions on the first few episodes of real OSFirstTimer and how they got me genuinely interested in computers and programming...and how I feel that OSFT NZ is trying to keep the older format alive as Phil moved to the newer format.

I'm planning another, more structured analysis on OSFirstTimer and how I feel it has declined in success over the years and how it could be improved, but that's a story for another day. However, part of that video involves points I've brought up in this video - so don't be surprised to hear the same points brought up again.

This video isn't intended as hate toward OSFirstTimer NZ - they get enough of it already. This is just me documenting what things look like from my perspective and how I feel about it. I tend to react to things in a quite cynical way, that's just my thing, and it's never intended as a personal attack.
