Описание: Autumn Olive aka Autumnberry ("Elaeagnus umbellata") is an invasive shrub that has edible berries. Here in Massachusetts they used to ripen in October but now they are ripening much earlier, even BEFORE it frosts. (Climate change?) Sooo…taste test the shrubs you find to see which ones are too astringent & which ones are ok to harvest. I recently found some ripe ones (in late August!) that were fine. Be aware that squirrels & birds like these too.
