Long Duration Zero Pressure Balloon: ZPM-1

Описание: In November 2020, we launched Zephyr Pathfinder Mission 1 (ZPM-1) – a long duration balloon flight carrying several remote sensing payloads into the upper atmosphere with a heavy-lift zero-pressure balloon.

Equipped with GNSS satellites, countless sensors, and 12 pounds of ballast, our payload captured GNSS radio occultation events in an effort to provide more accurate weather forecasting methods from the upper atmosphere.

Our mission at NCL is to harness the power of high-altitude platforms to reveal insights about the natural world. We achieve this by designing leading-edge scientific payloads, developing custom engineering systems, and creating data insights.
