Bárbara Pinheiro explores the death of coral reefs and how this silent crisis is reshaping the balance of our oceans. She shares the haunting experience of diving in places that were once alive with color and sound, but are now marked by an overwhelming silence — a silence that speaks of loss, of ecosystems fading away.

We have reached a point of no return in the coral ecosystem, a stage where natural recovery is becoming increasingly difficult. Through the image of bleached corals, the talk invites us to see this as more than an environmental issue — it is a reflection of a planet in distress. Coral bleaching is not just a scientific warning; it is a silent cry from nature, asking us to listen, to care, and to act before the silence becomes permanent.
