(3/14/2026) With my excitement to play Pokemon LeafGreen on the Switch, I've obviously been dropping tons of videos documenting my "no catching" challenge. However, I also wanted to make sure I made more railfanning videos as well.
I hung around the Western Skies area around Val Vista and Warner for a while doing my stuff for playing Pokemon Go. Eventually, I was able to film an outbound train at Val Vista's crossing. This train had six locomotives at the front. In order, they are: UP 8254, 7182, 8653, 5927, 7768, and 8576.
Aside from the train itself, I noticed that one of the crossing gates on the median at Val Vista actually took noticeably longer to rise after the train was done passing, hence why the bells and lights continued until that specific gate was fully raised. I also note that one of the passengers of an ambulance driving northbound was waving at me. Plus, I express a bit of curiosity about the house just south of the crossing given how that area also has semi trucks parked next to the railroad tracks and there's also a gigantic billboard situated there.
