The Choir continue their series of services in celebration of each of Clare College's 7 centuries. This Evensong commemorates the lives of nineteenth-century alumnae Agnes and Margaret Smith, the 'Sisters of Sinai'. Music includes Louise Farrenc's Ô père qu'adore mon père, Amy Beach's Magnificat and Nunc Dimittis in A, and Johannes Brahms' Warum ist das Licht gegeben. A performance of Schumann's Dichterliebe by Clare students Will Bennet and Isaac Chan precedes the service. Professor Simon Gathercole preaches on the Smith sisters' lives and works.
