The Choir continue their series of services in celebration of each of Clare College's 7 centuries. This Evensong commemorates the life of twentieth-century alumnus Siegfried Sassoon, soldier and poet of the First World War. Music includes Giles Swayne's The Dug-out, canticles by William Denis Browne, and Graham Ross' Secret Music. A recital of songs by Howells and Denis Browne from Thomas Alban and Tom Yang precedes the service. The Dean preaches on Sassoon's life and work.
