From June of 2012 to April of 2019, controversial publisher and WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange lived in the Ecuadorian embassy in London. And when I say lived, I mean he literally spent every single hour of his life in that embassy because police were waiting to arrest him if he ever walked out. And with only 2,153 square feet in the whole embassy and a mere 330 of those being given to Assange, it was not exactly a penthouse apartment. Not to mention the fact that he was actively being monitored by three different governments. So how did Assange survive in a small office building for six years and ten months? The story involves a combination of delivered food, celebrity guests, his cat Michi, and a mattress in an abandoned women's bathroom. In other words, things didn't go too well.
