When Rich Parents Cheated Their Way Into College

Описание: In 2018, the FBI uncovered a criminal conspiracy in which wealthy parents were paying a man named Rick Singer to cheat the system and get their children into the universities of their dreams. He did this through two different methods. The first method required a genius test-taker named Mark Riddell to take the SAT or ACT on the child's behalf, with or without the child knowing about it. The second method required bribing college coaches and athletic directors with hundreds of thousands of dollars to have them admit the child into their school through a fake sports admission. And the scheme attracted the likes of Felicity Huffman and Lori Loughlin, with the latter having her daughter Olivia Jade pretend to be an elite rower to get into USC. Hope this doesn't count as me starting beef with another YouTuber.

When the FBI discovered this through a whistleblower looking to reduce a prison sentence, they launched Operation Varsity Blues to uncover the man behind it and the parents participating in it. Then it was time to dole out the punishments, ranging from small fines to months or years in prison. Not to mention the public humiliation for the parents, especially the celebrities, who lost jobs and sponsorships in the fallout. It's just a shame that the many viewers of Fuller House had to suffer from all of this.
