Painting flowers is Morgan's passion. In spring and summer, the garden of Artist-gardener, Morgan Allender’s farm, in a beautiful Adelaide Hills of South Australia overflows with flowers including roses, daisies, poppies, and evening primrose.
A source of inspiration for her paintings.
Morgan aims to capture a sense of time and place and pass it on to others; her paintings tread “the boundaries of landscape genre and still life”.
After school, she won a scholarship to the Adelaide arts school and fell in love with painting.
Morgan spends a lot of time looking at or walking around her garden, and her paintings are a recollection of that garden memory. She grew up knowing the names of plants from her mother and loves that it has shaped her passions now.
Her favourite time is the late afternoon “gloaming” when she wanders through the garden enjoying the magical golden light.
