Adam Ondra has further cemented his legacy with a remarkable week in Switzerland, becoming the first person to flash three 8C (V15) boulders. Following his flash of Foundation’s Edge last year, Ondra has now managed the same feat on The Lion’s Share and Celestite.
While Celestite was originally graded 8C+ by Dave Graham, Ondra utilised a series of complex kneebars to unlock a new sequence, subsequently suggesting a grade of 8C. This brings his total to three 8C flashes—a feat currently unmatched in the bouldering world.
