Back in 2019 we reviewed the then-updated Red Chili Voltage, stating it was "a fantastic all-rounder, capable of performing on a variety of rock types over a number of disciplines". The Voltage X features some of the same DNA as the original, but it's a lot softer and has been modernised to focus on bouldering both indoors and out, along with single-pitch sport climbing.
