QUEENSTOWN TRAVEL VLOG: CITY, GLENORCHY, ARROWTOWN, CARDRONA

Описание: We are extremely excited to share our new Queenstown Travel Vlog with you! While travelling around the South Island of New Zealand, we couldn't miss this beautiful city and film a new guide for our channel. In this video, we show you around the city centre of Queenstown, visit the Kiwi Birdlife Park, have a short trip to Glenorchy, do snowboarding at Cardrona, walking the streets of Arrowtown. Queenstown is well-known for its extreme activities like bungee jumping, jet boats, skydiving and so on. It's also the place where most journeys to Milford Sounds and Fiordland National Park start. But this time we want to show you some other, maybe a little less known spots to visit in Queenstown. To do all these activities we spent 3 days in Queenstown, but you can adjust your stay depending on the circumstances. We would recommend spending 4-5 days there if it's your first time in Queenstown. And yes, this part of New Zealand is stunning in every season of the year.

If you're looking for a relaxing walk with amazing views, don't miss Queenstown Gardens. Start from there and make your way down to the city centre. This place is always packed with people, there are nice cafes and restaurants, most of tours depart from here as well. If you would like to see a kiwi bird, check out Kiwi Birdlife Park near the Gondola. They have 3 nocturnal houses and several kiwi feeding times to guarantee your kiwi bird sightings. Some other amazing native birds live there including kea and kaka.

Glenorchy is ranked the most popular attraction in Queenstown on Tripadvisor. It's actually located 30-40 minutes out of the town and one of the most scenic roads in the world takes you there. There is plenty to do in Glenorchy including a fantastic photo opportunity at the Glenorchy Wharf, several amazing walkways and must-visit Glenorchy Animal Experience with friendly alpacas.

If travelling in winter, you would probably want to do skiing or snowboarding and Queenstown is a perfect place for this. Surrounded by multiple ski fields, this city is a well-known winter tourist destination. Our favourite spot is Cardrona Alpine Resort located about an hour drive from Queenstown.

Also don't miss the historic Arrowtown! Previously known for its gold mine, now it's one of the most picturesque spots anywhere in New Zealand. Especially beautiful in Autumn but actually pretty all year round. When driving from Queenstown to Arrowtown, make sure to make a stop at lake Hayes!
