In a major development regarding the voter list revision in West Bengal, the Supreme Court of India has issued important directions to ensure transparency in the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) process.
A three-judge bench comprising Justice Surya Kant, Justice Joymalya Bagchi, and Justice Bipin Pancholi directed that both retired and serving judicial officers be appointed to oversee the SIR work and ensure it is completed in a fair and transparent manner.
