HIKING A VOLCANO IN EL SALVADOR 🌋 Is El Salvador Dangerous for Tourists? | Latin America Series 02

Описание: We had a short layover in El Salvador on our way from Belize to Colombia, so decided to extend it to a two night stopover instead. We did a lot of research about is El Salvador safe to visit or is El Salvador dangerous for tourists and read that, although the country has been known for its gang violence, tourists in El Salvador are generally safe (especially if you hire a guide - and like all countries, you need to be smart about staying in the right areas and not going out at night).

Although we only had one full day to visit San Salvador (the capital of El Salvador), our San Salvador day trip was a great experience. Our guide took us touring around downtown San Salvador and then hiking a volcano in El Salvador. The Santa Ana Volcano in El Salvador erupted 15 years ago and is still one of the most active volcanoes in El Salvador, but this El Salvador volcano hike is safe and a lot of fun. We're glad we did an extended layover in El Salvador and that we got to meet some of the amazing people that call this beautiful country their home!
