Travel Diary: Sa’al Steps Hike – 11th October 2025
Today is an unforgettable adventure hike with our AO family members. Our group of 12 adventure lovers set out to conquer the Sa’al Steps hike (Fanja Stairs trial) and it was really an incredible experience for us.
It is approximately a one hour journey from our home town WadiKabir.
The hike is about 3.65 kms distance and the total ascent is 408 m.
The weather was awesome and pleasantly cool with a gentle breeze, and in between the sunshine was peeking through the clouds. The trail was alive with the sounds of nature- birds chirping, leaves rustling, and the rhythmic crunch of our steps echoing along the concrete stone path.
Each step brought new views — stunning landscapes, rolling hills, and endless stretches of greenery that made every moment feel magical. Our enjoyment, friendly chats and excitement made our hiking journey even more special.
The climb challenged us
and we wrapped up the day with many photos and memories that will stay with us for a long time. The Sa’al Steps Hike reminded us why we love adventures because they bring us closer to nature.
