Coronavirus lockdown India: DHFL promoters Kapil Wadhawan and Dheeraj Wadhawan have been booked for flouting the ongoing nationwide coronavirus lockdown and traveling to Mahabaleshwar with a group of 23 people. The family was trying to evade probe in the Yes Bank case. However, the locals alerted the police and they are now detained.
An IPS officer, who issued them pass to travel to Mahabaleshwar from Mumbai with other family members and domestic help, has been suspended for letting this happen. Opposition BJP has demanded the resignation of Maharashtra home minister Anil Deshmukh over the favours offered to the Wadhawan family amid COVID-19 lockdown. Watch the video for more details.
