Athens was the perfect place to wrap up our trip. We hustled around the city to make sure we saw all the landmarks and history this bustling place has to offer.
My favorite part of Athens was the Panathenaic Stadium — it was so fun to run the track and experience a site with such incredible history.
As with everywhere else in Greece, we had some amazing meals in Athens. We really enjoyed every dish, and I had some great interactions while practicing my Greek!
Visiting the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier was also a memorable experience — we even got to see the Changing of the Guard ceremony!
Just like in Paros, one of the food highlights was the “hipster” loukoumades — this time with cookies ’n’ cream topping and (of course) a giant scoop of ice cream.
Athens was exhausting, but such a fantastic way to end our time in Greece!
