As with any industrial product, installation and operation must be done properly to maximize safety and performance. In this video, we show you how to install and operate a Colorflow Valve.

This tutorial will take you through the installation and operation process, as well as the three options for locking in the desired flow setting. To install, first apply a sealant or lubricant to the male pipe threads, then finger tighten the connector until snug. Use a wrench to finish tightening to the specified number of turns. When operating, each valve has the numbers 1 through 10 on the knob, and turning the knob 360 degrees exposes each new color ring. Use the first three turns of the adjusting knob for fine adjustments at low flow, and the next three turns open the valve to full flow. The three options for locking in the desired flow setting are to use a set screw with a t-handle or allen wrench, a finger screw, or a permanent tamper-proof pin feature. Lastly, remember that color flow valves are not repairable and should not be field repaired, altered, or overhauled.
