The Red-Purple Bypass (otherwise known as the Belmont Flyover) is now open for revenue service! Crews spent the last 2-3 years building this new "track 5" that will allow Brown Line trains to "flyover" Clark Junction and allow CTA to be able to reduce congestion caused by Kimball bound Brown Line trains crossing through the entirety of the junction, blocking Red and Purple Line traffic.
