A new date will be set Monday for elections in Burundi. Elections were postponed after the regional body of East African countries advised the government and electoral commission in Bujumbura, to move the poll to a later date. Burundi President, Pierre Nkurunziza's announcement in April that he will seek a third term, despite a two-term limit under the constitution, has led to violence and a failed coup. Speaking for the first time since the attempted coup, Nkurunziza told the SABC that Monday's meeting will not discuss his third term bid. He says the violence has subsided.
