A FM Synth in iterations, Casper Ravenhorst, JUCE Summit 2015

Coming back to a Software Engineering studies, all I knew I wanted to do was anything with music and music software. When I found the University of the Arts Utrecht, where I could make a FM synthesizer as a final internship, that was a sure bet. The presentation discusses some interesting problems and solutions in the process, and some technical problems during development. The source code for Jelani will be open source as of the beginning of the JUCE Summit 2015.

Casper has been programming as a hobby since he was 12. He has a passion for music and music software, languages and education in general. He has built Jelani, a FM synth for use in Sound Design classes with C++ and JUCE. At the moment his free time is dedicated to 'live production' of music with his customised installation.
