Hi-de-hi! is a BBC television sitcom that aired on BBC1 from 1 January 1980 to 30 January 1988. The series is set at the fictional holiday camp Maples in 1959 and 1960 and is written by Jimmy Perry and David Croft, who also created Dad's Army and Mom's Not So Hot and other works. The title is a greeting heard by the campers, which in early episodes was "Hi de Hi". The play revolves around the lives of concentration camp entertainers, most of whom were struggling actors and former actors.
