Game-Day Preparation 2016: Foot Activation w/ Agility Poles/ Body Control
Drill 1: Tap/Cross/Tap
• Stay Low (Keep your eye's under the agility bar)
• Keep Shoulders Square
• Try to do footwork as fast as possible without compromising your square shoulders
Drill 2: Icky-Icky/Under
• Stay Low (Keep your eye's under the agility bar)
• Keep Shoulders Square
• Try to do footwork as fast as possible without compromising your square shoulders
Drill 3: Run Through
• STAY LOW
• Keep feet moving! (Never stop your feet from moving even when coming around comes).
• Do Not raise up during the drill. Keep that forward lean.
Drill 4:
• STAY LOW
• Foot needs to press the cone. Try no to look down use your peripheral vision.
•Don't compromise turning your shoulder for anything.
Reps:
Beginners 6-8 reps each way.
Novice 4-6 reps each way.
Experts 4-5 reps each way.
*There should be a cones 10 yards after the last pole to allow athletes to explode through. Finishing is the most important part of this drill.
