Afghanistan — a land that has always been the playground of power and strategy. Four years ago, when the Taliban took control, India didn’t grant formal recognition, but it didn’t shut the doors of engagement either. And now, the same Taliban is sitting across the diplomatic table in New Delhi.

Is this dialogue merely a necessary step, or a turning point for India’s strategic, economic, and security interests?

Meanwhile, during Afghan Foreign Minister Amir Khan Muttaqi’s press conference, not a single female journalist was allowed entry — raising questions about our own democratic and egalitarian values. Later, a second press conference was organised where women journalists were seated in the front rows. Among them was Geeta Mohan, Foreign Affairs Editor at India Today Group — and this time, she joins us as a guest on Padhaku Nitin.
