How to Attach SHOULDER ARMOR to a CAPE

This shows specifically how I attached my shoulder armor to the rest of my costume. Normally, people will use velcro which is slapped on both the body piece and the pauldrons-- which makes total sense! I think that's a great method. Buuuut, for situations where you aren't attaching the armor directly to the breastplate, it makes it a little more tricky. So in this technique, you can't just plop them onto the straps of the rest of the armor. Instead, I use d-rings and then loop velcro around them.

I also go over how I made the multi-piece, or "tiered", pauldrons. :) enjoy!

A pauldron (sometimes spelled pouldron or powldron) is a component of plate armor, which evolved from spaulders in the 15th century. As with spaulders, pauldrons cover the shoulder area. Pauldrons tend to be larger than spaulders, covering the armpit, and sometimes parts of the back and chest.
