Hey folks! 👋 In this video, I take on Verence, the first boss in the Hall of Illusion (Expert Tier) in Throne and Liberty. This fight is a real test of mechanics, movement, and patience – especially for melee players. So if you’ve been struggling, this one’s for you!

Here’s a breakdown of what to expect, and how to deal with it:

🌺 Stacking Debuff & Flower Mechanics
Verence applies a damage-over-time debuff that stacks up to 5 times. The more stacks you get, the harder the ticking damage hits.
You get stacks by getting hit with his left-handed chain swipe or by touching red flowers.
To remove stacks, you need to walk over a green flower – but here’s the catch: you won’t know which one turns green until you trigger them.
When you touch a red flower while having the red aura, it copies the aura. After a few seconds, it will either: Turn green (yay, cleanse!) Or explode into mud, which slows your movement and attack speed.

💡 My tip: Start the fight, take one stack, and then run in a circle around the boss, tagging flowers until a green one spawns. Even if you just get mud, you're clearing space – and those mud pools disappear after a while.

💣 AOE Launch Mechanic
After a big attack rotation, Verence will jump to the center and create a blue circle under you.
Stand in it to get launched into the air – but don’t drop right away!
Wait for his massive AoE wipe to go off before gliding back down, or you’ll take a ton of damage.

💎 Movement Block & Fury Attacks
He also has a "diamond rough" style attack that blocks movement – some versions are fast, others slow.
You’ll need to read the tempo and time your blocks accordingly.
Keep up pressure, but don’t over-commit – and watch your stacks!

✅ Quick Tips for Success:
Don’t morph while running through flowers – just walk and conserve stamina.
Take the stamina buff before entering the dungeon.
You can usually survive 1–2 stacks, so don’t panic early.
Timing is everything – learn the patterns, stay mobile, and keep dishing out damage.
