"Holding Back The Years" by Johnny & Patrick was recorded in Northfield, MN in April of 2019. This remake from Simply Red from 1985 took an enormous concentration of piecing together all the instrumentation aligning the vocals creating this very unique song of yesterday. In my early studies of musicianship, my musical background consisted of taking trumpet (cornet) lessons in Royal Oak, MI starting at the age of ten. The trumpet harmonizing tracks are from hearing harmonizing horns for over four years composing the individual horn tracks from a synthesizer for this song. If I ever needed a time out with a mellow tune to soothe things over, this was the song I admired the most. Thank you from Johnny & Patrick
