The Kenya Ports Authority and the Kenya Revenue Authority will now collaborate to speed up cargo clearance and boost efficiency at the Port of Mombasa. The decision follows a meeting convened by the Executive Office of the President and attended by key port stakeholders amid a surge in ships diverting to Mombasa after the temporary closure of Tanzania’s Port of Dar es Salaam that has disrupted regional trade routes across East and Central Africa.
