Chrissy performing aquatic therapy exercises after a low back injury. Performing exercises in water can help improve mobility, strength, and function rapidly during the healing process. There are many other muscles at work in this exercise with too may potential benefits to describe in this context. Be sure to move slowly and gently. Never perform movements in a jerky or rigorous fashion. This exercise is intended to gently release tension in the hip flexors and low back, as well as providing strengthening components for all core muscle groups.
