Maple Walnut Stuffed Muffins! Soft & Easy Recipe!
These soft and fluffy yogurt muffins are filled with a rich maple walnut center and lightly spiced with cinnamon. The secret to a beautiful, defined filling is freezing the maple-nut mixture before baking. Simple ingredients, cozy flavor, and bakery-style results at home!
Ingredients:
180 g plain yogurt
2 eggs
80 ml maple syrup
70 ml vegetable oil
240 g all-purpose flour
10 g baking powder (2 tsp)
½ tsp salt
1 tsp cinnamon
Maple Walnut Filling (prepare first)
Ingredients:
80 g walnuts, finely chopped
70 ml maple syrup
20 g butter
Pinch of salt
½ tsp cinnamon
Instructions:
Finely chop or pulse the walnuts into small crumbs.
In a saucepan, gently heat the maple syrup, butter, walnuts, salt, and cinnamon.
Cook for 3–5 minutes until thick and sticky.
Cool completely, then freeze for 20–30 minutes (or spoon small drops onto parchment and freeze).
The filling must be firm — this is the key to a perfect center.
Whisk together all ingredients until smooth.
Place 1 tsp frozen filling in the center
Bake at 180°C (350°F) for 18–22 minutes.
Check doneness: a toothpick should come out clean.
