Looking for a program that does not impose compositional style expectations on your work? The University of Cincinnati’s nationally ranked and internationally renowned College-Conservatory of Music (CCM) is home to one of the nation’s premier Music Composition programs. We provide unparalleled opportunities for student composers to develop their technique in a thriving, next-generation city known for its intense interest in the arts.
Master of Music (MM): Refine and deepen your compositional voice, technique and profile. In two years, you will learn through studying with our award-winning faculty and advanced core learning that is achieved through dedicated composition courses.
Doctor of Musical Arts (DMA): Develop and mature into a professional through a robust mix of coursework, independent research, performances and intense 1-1 mentoring. During three years of intense training, very high expectations, and deep mentoring with our award-winning faculty, DMA students will undertake advanced courses.
