CWT Part 4 A.Chuil Bothy to Sourlies Bothy - Pacific Crest Trail hikers on the Cape Wrath Trail

The Pacific Crest Trail Friends are once again on a trail this time its the hardest trail the UK has to offer.
The Cape Wrath Trail 410KM say 250 miles of Bliss

Part 4 – A.Chuil bothy to Sourlies bothy
A good night in the bothy, we made a nice breakfast and started late this morning. Our goal is to get to the Sourlies bothy and if we have time and feel good we make our way to Inverie.
We started on a boggy but easy path, once we got on the top of the saddle, the wind picked up SSW it says 50km gusts but that where more like 50mile gusts straight in our faces, with a mix of snow rain and hail taking turns.
Terrain became quit hard and it was not easy to take in the views or look at any maps, Michael broke his Leki stick, and about 20 min later we were scrambling down a canyon towards a waterfall, we tottaly missed the river crossing, we had to go straight up the hill side to get to safer ground. Once we were on the correct side of the river we had a steep and boggy decent to the loch.
After a stroll that felt as like forever we ended up in the Sourlies bothy where we where able to start a fire dry some gear and eat loads of food. ( this was before any others arrived)
The bothy proved to be quit popular and we ended up with 11 hikers and several outside, 4 bikers decided to keep biking. They were unable to Restart the fire.
This was a great day , short, hard , wet , boggy , cold , with a reward at the end.
