Peter Jackson is a renowned New Zealand filmmaker, director, and producer best known for directing The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit trilogies, which were filmed in his home country. His work on The Lord of the Rings earned him three Academy Awards for The Return of the King and cemented his reputation as an acclaimed visual storyteller. He has also directed other films like King Kong and the documentary series The Beatles: Get Back, and is a co-founder of the visual effects company Wētā FX.
