Demonstration of cell rolling and adhesion assays using the ExiGo pump. Learn how to do experiments such as THP-1 cell rolling on E-selectin; THP-1 cell adhesion on VCAM coated microchannels. We also demonstrate leukocyte adhesion from whole blood on VCAM-coated microchannels of our biochips at 0.5dyne/cm2. Finally, we show high shear flow blood perfusion assay illustrating platelet adhesion from whole blood on collagen-coated microchannel 67.5dyne/cm2. This is all achieved with Cellix's ExiGo pump and biochips.
ExiGo is a microfluidic syringe pump controlled by an iPad mini or LabVIEW software. 4-channels or pumps may be controlled independently. Key features of this pump include volumetric flow rates of 10 nL/min - 20mL/min. Continuous pulse-free flow rates with sensor are 10nL/min - 1mL/min with 250uL glass syringe and 100nL/min - 20mL/min with 5mL plastic syringe. Compatible with standard syringes. The user-friendly software interfaces enable simple programming of flow steps: constant, ramp, step, sine.
