Описание:
Deline, an enslaved ornamental gardener trained in African botanical knowledge, developed a method of slow toxic exposure using poisonous plants. Oleander, foxglove, lily of the valley, monkshood, and castor bean were positioned strategically to create repeated dermal and inhalation exposure . Over time, cardiac glycosides and alkaloids accumulated in her masters’ bodies, producing symptoms consistent with heart failure or organ collapse. Seven slave owners died over several years, each attributed to natural causes. Eventually, a physician began identifying the botanical pattern, prompting Deline to escape north and systematize her methods into coded documentation disguised as a gardening manual . Her weapon was patience. Her battlefield was landscaping.
