Welcome to the first garden tour of 2026! Living in Zone 9 means winter gardening is always an adventure, but this year the weather is officially "bipolar and weird."
While most of the country is freezing, we are hitting record highs of 82°F this week, and the garden is as confused as I am!
In this tour, we’re checking in on our Spinach, Onions, radishes, cabbages and peppers. Funny a couple of plants I didn't think will crossover to the new year did.
It’s so warm that the Lizards are still out and about in full force! Usually, they’re tucked away by now, but they’re clearly enjoying this "winter" sun as much as the plants are.
Whether you’re gardening in the heat or shoveling snow, I hope this green update gives you some inspiration for the 2026 season!
