Control is a play-style that has been powerful in past years in VGC & continues to be a viable playstyle in VGC 2020. Control is the strategy in which you control the pace of the game through lowering opponent's stats while setting up bulky/powerful Pokemon. Control teams will typically include some for of set-up Pokemon ( in VGC 2020 we see a lot of Milotic now but saw Snorlax and Corviknight and more throughout the format so far. They will also feature multiple Pokemon that manipulate stats/control damage, Pokemon like Incineroar/Arcanine, Excadrill (Max moves), Grimmsnarl (Screens) and many other forms of this. Typically they'll also include some form of Damage dealers or a damage mode like Durant or Dragapult. Control has seen a fair bit of play in VGC 2020 and certain seasons before like VGC 2018. We feature multiple sample teams for VGC 2020 as well as a few teams from the past.
