This is the second video in a series about filet crochet with a large mesh. I used this for a vest and it’s the base for further embellishing with surface crochet. In regular filet crochet you use 2 chain stitches and a double crochet to create a open square, here you will use 3 chain stitchea and a treble.
In this video I show you how to decrease straight up. I show how to do this at the end of a row, but also how to do this at the start of a row, without having to cut off your yarn. You will use slip stitches to get at the point where you can continue your pattern
In the next video’s I will show you different ways of decreasing: a slanted decrease of 1 square over 1 row and a slanted decrease of 1 square over 2 rows. If they are not here yet, they will be soon!
