I love that there are different options for trauma processing in EMDR. It really helps to individualize every one's preferences and comfort zones. You can do this with traditional eye movements by watching your therapists hand move back and forth, with bilateral sound in your headphones, tapping your knees or shoulders alternatively, or even by technological instruments like a light bar or gently buzzers that you hold in your hands. Which style do you think you would prefer?

In therapy I use a combination of empirically validated and researched techniques for the treatment of trauma, PTSD, anxiety, depression, OCD, and treatment of eating disorders. The ideas from my videos are frequently adapted from multiple sources and are used in my own practice with my clients. Many of these techniques come from the founder of Brainspotting, David Grand, and from the work of EMDR creator and founder, Francine Shapiro. I am also Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) certified, and have an additional certification in Fitness and Nutrition Coaching from National Exercise Sports Training Association.
