The July Summit is over and platinum medal drivers are all rewarded with the Mazda MX-5 for The Crew Wild Run! The Mazda MX-5 is available for street and perf spec. When the MX-5 was rewarded 1st of August, there was a bug where you can't purchase any specs for the MX-5. It was fixed today.
Check out the Street spec video of the MX-5 here:

Mazda MX-5 Perf spec performance review:
So we waited 3 days for the specs. And is it good? I will reserve the review for street spec tomorrow, but for Perf spec, it's not worth it. Compared to the previous Summit car reward, the Ferrari F40 performs much better than the MX-5.
One of the biggest drawbacks with the MX-5 perf spec is it's brakes. It's very weak. Another issue is it's overall traction at low speeds. It's traction is weak at corner exits and there is a bit of wheelspin. You need do turn smoothly to achieve it's maximum cornering potential because if you dive and drift at corner entry, you will get this drift understeer. Engine acceleration wise is just average, but the NOS power is powerful enough. Cornering and turn radius wise, unfortunately is not the best. The Subaru BRZ is a much better car in when it comes to cornering and it has the same wheelspin issues with the MX-5. But it can dive and drift into corner entry and has one of the best turn radius in perf spec. You are better off with the BRZ than the MX-5.
And... it has the same crash cam bug with the Mazda RX-7 where the slightest air you catch and if all 4 wheels aren't horizontal, you car will crash and reset.
