海の見える街 A Town With An Ocean View (ライアー演奏 by Lyre)

ジブリ曲をライアーで弾いて欲しいリクエストで、
「海の見える街」は絶対に弾こう！と思っていました。
しかしながら、
この曲はかなり難しいので、アレンジにも弾くのにも相当時間がかかりました。
原曲は海の風景や港の活気に満ちた感じなど、
さまざまなシーンが思い浮かぶような魅力的な構成になっていて、長い楽曲なのです。
それをライアーで弾くとなると、
なるべく2ページに収めたい（譜めくりしたくない）という事情により、ライアーで弾けそうなフレーズを選んでで、そして私の好きなフレーズを選んで、ぎゅっと凝縮した構成でアレンジしております。

アレンジした時は暑いので指が滑らかに動いてたのですが、動画撮影時は寒波が来て指が動かなくて大変でした。
なので、例えば、前半の21-22小節目16分音符が2つ続くところの指番号ですが、「3 2」よりも、指をすべらせて「2－2」で弾く方が、特に、この寒い季節には弾きやすいと思います。

後半の16分音符がたくさん続いているところは難しいのですが、速いテンポで弾くとなると単音で弾いた方が美しいので、あえて和音はつけませんでした。
（ゆっくりならば和音つけても綺麗ですね。
最後の海の風景動画のBGMでは所々に3度下の音をつけて和音を入れて弾いてみました。Amのところで「ラド」、Gで「ソシ」、F♯m7♭5で「ファ♯ ラ」、Bで「シファ♯」、Emで「ミシ」で弾いてます）

また、今回も消音が必要な箇所がありました。
9小節目の「低音のシ、レ♯、ファ♯」の音の残響が気になるので、10小節目の8分休符のあたりで、②③④の指を使って消音しています。3つの音は同時ではなくひとつずつ消音する方が上手くいきます。かなり高度なテクニックなので、消音しないで弾いていても、誰も責めないでしょう(笑)


61小節目の「ファ ミ レ♯ ミ」を弾くときに、ライアーによっては、レ♯の後にミの弦に指が当たってしまって、嫌な音が鳴る確率高いです。そんな時は、2つの回避方法があります。
⑴レ♯を弾くときに外側に向かうように弾いて、ミの弦に弾き終わった指が当たらないようにする方法。
⑵レ♯を弾くと同時に、「レ♯の前に弾いたミの音を消音」する方法です。ミの音は弾いた指で素早く消音します。（スタッカート記号を弾く時と同じやり方です。）
今回の動画では、⑴の方法で回避しています。

45小節目の8分の6拍子になるところで、
心の中で、「イチ、ニ、サン、イチ、ニ、サン」と唱えて弾くと、46小節目からリズムに乗って弾きやすくなると思います。

楽譜にはテンポ記号、強弱記号はつけてません。
フレーズごとにテンポを変えたり、強弱をつけて、音楽的な表現を、自由に楽しんで弾いて下さい。

【指番号の訂正】
47小節目の「レ ファ♯」の「ファ♯」の指番号は、②ではなく「④」です。
また、63小節目の最後の「ド」は「－3」ではなく「2」で弾いた方が次の和音が弾きやすいと思います。

I live in a town with a view of the sea,
so when I received a request to play a Ghibli song on lyre,
I was absolutely determined to play "A Town With An Ocean View."
However,
This song is quite difficult, so it took a considerable amount of time to arrange and play.
The original is a long piece with an appealing structure that evokes various scenes, such as ocean views and the lively feeling of a harbor.
When I was playing it on lyre,
I wanted to fit it onto two pages as much as possible (to avoid having to turn the pages), so I chose phrases that I thought would be playable on lyre, as well as my favorite phrases, and arranged it into a condensed structure.

When I arranged it, it was hot, so my fingers moved smoothly, but when we were filming the video, a cold wave hit and my fingers couldn't move, which made it difficult.
So, for example, when it comes to the fingering for the two consecutive 16th notes in measures 21-22 of the first half, I think it's easier to play by sliding your fingers and playing "2-2" rather than "3 2," especially in this cold season.

The section in the second half, with its many consecutive sixteenth notes, is difficult, but playing single notes sounds more beautiful at a fast tempo, so I purposely avoided adding chords.
(Chords would also be beautiful if played slowly.
In the background music for the final oceanscape video, I tried adding chords by adding a third lower in places. I played "La Do" in Am, "So Si" in G, "F# La" in F♯m7♭5, "Si Fa#" in B, and "Mi Si" in Em.)

Also, there were some places this time where muting was necessary.
The reverberation of the "low C, D#, F#" notes in measure 9 bothered me, so I muted them using fingers ②, ③, and ④ around the eighth rest in measure 10. It works better to mute the three sounds one by one rather than all at once.
This is a fairly advanced technique, so
no one would blame you if you played it without muting it .

When playing "Fa Mi Re# Mi" in bar 61, depending on the lyre, there's a good chance your finger will hit the Mi string after the Re#, resulting in an unpleasant sound. In that case, there are two ways to avoid it.
(1) Play the Re# by playing it outward so your finger doesn't hit the Mi string after playing it.
(2) Simultaneously play the Re# and "mute the Mi you played before the Re#." Quickly mute the Mi with the finger you played it with. (This is the same method as playing a staccato mark.)
In this video, we're using method (1) to avoid this.

At the point where the piece reaches 6/8 time in bar 45,
if you chant "one, two, three, one, two, three" in your head while playing,
you'll find it easier to get into the rhythm and play from bar 46 onwards.

The sheet music does not include tempo or dynamic markings.
Feel free to vary the tempo and add dynamics to each phrase, enjoying musical expression as you play.

[Fingering Correction]
The fingering for the "F#" in the "D Fa#" in measure 47 is "④," not "②."
Also, I think it would be easier to play the next chord if you play the last "C" in measure 63 with "2" rather than "-3."
