An illegal immigrant is facing serious charges after a bizarre and violent series of events in Polk County, Florida. Deputies say 38-year-old Josue Castaneda-Castro, a Mexican national with four prior DUI convictions, drove drunk and got his trailer stuck on train tracks in Bradley Junction.
When a CSX train conductor stopped to help, Josue Castaneda-Castro allegedly assaulted him, then fought with a Polk County deputy and a K-9 during a chase into nearby woods. Sheriff Grady Judd called him a “dangerous” repeat offender and said he is now being held on a long list of felony charges — including assaulting law enforcement and interfering with a train — and is under an ICE detainer.
