GoPro HD Hero 2 Won´t turn on! - Solution/Fix English

Описание: A long time I was searching for a solution to fix my GoPro HD Hero 2 which was not able to turn on any more. You cannot imagine after many weeks of try things out I found a way to get the camera working again.

But before we move on to the next steps I have to tell you some general information: ALL STEPS I AM SHOWING IN THIS VIDEO YOU ARE REPRODUCE ON YOUR ON RISK. YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY DAMAGE OR ANY OTHER RESULTING FAULT.

Let me give a short overview about the fault which occurred on my GoPro. The camera was in use really often but unfortunately suddenly the camera was not able to turn on any more. The Gopro support only told me that there is no support for this model any more. So I decided to start an experiment and maybe it will help to get the camera back alive.

All in all, I found a way which can fix the fault of the camera and allows you to use you Gopro like before. Only the fridge is the strange part of the whole process but belief me it will works.

Step by Step Instructions:
1. First of all, remove any gear, like battery, SD Card, LCD Diplay, etc… out of your camera.
2. Take a waterproofed bag and but your camera inside the plastic bag.
3. Afterwards you have to put the camera for around 4 hours inside the fridge. Yeah, in the fridge. No joke!
4. During the camera is inside the fridge go to your computer and visit the following link: https://de.gopro.com/update/hdhero2 . Here you have to download the file for updating the camera onto a new software release.
5. This file you have to put on your SD Card. Do not forget to format the Card before.
6. Now it is time to get the camera out of the fridge again.
7. Take the camera out of the fridge and insider the battery and the SD Card with the file you downloaded before.
8. For turning on the camera press the shutter (on the top) and turn on button (on the front side).
9. Immediately after the camera turned on release both buttons.
10. On the display appears “press 1”. Please press the turn on button once.
11. Now on the display appears “press 2”. Press the turn on button once again.
12. The camera starts the software update. During the whole process do not touch the camera. While updating the software the camera will turn on and off around 3 or 4 times.
13. If the camera does not turn on again on its own press the turn on button to start the camera manual.
14. Congratulations your camera is alive again!
