I first start by gearing up, preparing for the wet weather by putting on waders. I walk out of the lodge and casted around for a while but no bites. Then I went with a local to a local river. It was pretty blown out so we spot hopped till eventually we landed at balls lake. I am very much a small lake or big pond kinda guy, cause the fishies have nowhere to go and I can catch them. The fish in ponds seem to have a more diverse diet because their lack of natural food just flowing in like it does in a river. Not an expert though, big pond fish just seem to be dumber. Anyway I put on my trusty 2" curlytail and casted around looking for steep ledges or drop-offs, any sign of activity or reason for there to be fishes and I eventually stumbled across them. After catching a few fishies I tried out one of my most effective lures the 2" paddle tail in two colors but the fishies did not care and only wanted the curlytail. On the way out I realized I put myself in quite a bit of danger for a minute, walking on what I think was just floating plants and fallen tree combined to make a "ground" or at least a bridge to the "land". Lesson learned. Also sorry for the bad outtro, caput keeps purging my saved music.
