Q: Can I buy these books in my home country?
A: Probably not...not to my knowledge anyways. If you live in South Korea, they are easily found in major bookstore chains.

Q: Can I apply for KIIP before I get to Korea?
A: No, you should already be living in Korea on a valid visa.

Q: Can I do KIIP on a tourist visa?
A: No, you must be in Korea on a longer term visa that grants you an ARC (Alien Registration Card) because you need to apply using your ARC number. Also, I don't believe you can benefit from this course in such a short time. It is a long term commitment.

Q: Should I enroll in a university and get a student visa specifically in order to sign up for KIIP because it's free?
A: In my opinion, no! You'll be paying tuition and living expenses just to attend university so it's really not a bargain. And if you are already paying a lot of money to learn Korean at a university, there's no need to divide your time between perfectly good Korean lessons and KIIP just because it's free. BUT you know yourself better than me so choose what's best for you.

Q: Veronica, your video says "information A" is correct, but the official website says "information B" is correct. Which one is right?
A: I started KIIP from level 2 in 2016 and finished level 5 in 2018. This video was posted in the summer of 2018. Rules, costs, and requirements for KIIP may have changed since then. Always check the official website for the most up-to-date information. Please use my video as a reference and not as the final word.
